When my three kids started attending school remotely due to the pandemic, I went from a dad lecturing to stay off screens, to a dad rounding up my old laptops for them to use all day long.

We launched our effort to add teaching and learning tools to Zoom four months ago with our beta program. Today, Class software is live and generally available.

Teachers and students have been fighting an uphill battle against the challenges that the pandemic has brought to the education system. It’s the reason why we’ve created Class: to address these challenges head on, and provide educators everything they need to facilitate instruction and improve student engagement in the virtual classroom.

We’ve connected with over 7,500 K-12 and Higher-Ed institutions, as well as corporations, around the world who have all expressed interest in Class software. These conversations led us to fast-track our efforts because we understand how important Class is for the education industry and that help is needed right now.

Today, we’re proud to announce the general availability of Class for Mac, with releases for Windows, Chromebook, iPad, and Android Tablet platforms coming soon.

For the past five months, our team has been working side-by-side with many academic institutions and corporations through beta testing with one goal in mind: to make the virtual classroom feel like the real classroom.

We built Class on the Zoom Meetings platform to offer educators everything they need to facilitate instruction and improve student engagement.

The education industry has leaped forward in its use of technology because it had to. Educators and students have done remarkable things to juggle everything that has been thrown at them. They are heroes.

We can’t wait to get Class into as many virtual and hybrid classrooms as possible. We know our work will make a difference both now, and for education in the future.

If you’re an educator reading this and you think Class can improve your virtual classroom setting, please schedule a demo with us.

If you’re reading this and you are one of my children, get back in Class!
