Beth Rankin

Raised on the Great Lakes in Northeast Ohio, Beth Rankin has a photojournalism degree from Kent State University and a career that spans breaking news, travel, food, music, radio and digital strategy in Ohio, Texas and Colorado. She previously worked as the Dallas Observer's food editor, a reporter and digital strategist at the Beaumont Enterprise (where she also launched and edited Cat5 magazine, a weekly entertainment tab), host of The Local Scene on 91.3 KVLU, photographer at the Lima News and metro reporter at the Akron Beacon Journal. Rankin joined The Denver Post in July 2019 as entertainment editor and editor of The Know. She has been The Post's director of audience since 2022. An avid farmers market enthusiast and community gardener, she loves safe streets, local foodways, rescue animals, Colorado trails and is a member of the Denver Press Club, Online News Association and NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists.
